Community Panel

We're putting together a group of people with a stake in local arts and culture to inform our activities and community engagement. We are particularly interested in hearing from local creatives, young people, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people and people from global majority backgrounds. If you're interested, please contact jessie.hodges@enfield.gov.uk with a few sentences about yourself and why you're interested.

We have also enjoyed working with creative groups, charities and local organisations to deliver events and courses which support the needs of our community:

  • In 2023, Write 2 Speak and Young Nexus Enfield delivered a series of spoken word workshops with young people from Southgate School, Enfield Chase and St Ignatius College. These enabled young people to express their thoughts and feelings around Black British History, culminating in a public performance at DAC.
  • DAC hosts Reggae Choir rehearsals and continues to enjoy programming their performances.
  • We are hosting a series of photography workshops for wellbeing provided by Pinhole London. Interested in developing photography skills, making friends, and creating collaborative artwork? You will learn to take photos using 'pinhole' cameras made from upcycled materials, and then develop prints in a pop-up darkroom.
Don't miss the magic of watching a photo come to life in a developing tray (age 19+).

We are able to provide discounts on our hire spaces for registered charities and CICs. Please email culture@enfield.gov.uk for more information.
